Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your use of Atlas. By using the platform you agree to them. The short version: learning is free, pay for what you choose to unlock, play fair, and your certificates and scores are real records of your work.
1. The service
Atlas provides free online courses organised into paths and fields, with lessons, quizzes, exams and verifiable certificates. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Your account is for you alone — don't share it, and don't use Atlas to create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
3. Free learning, optional paid content
Learning is free. Within each path, courses unlock in sequence — you complete one course before the next becomes available. Some paths also require you to choose between course tracks as you progress.
Certain content and results are optional and paid: certificates (course, path or field level) and individual lessons behind a paid unlock. All prices are shown at checkout before you pay.
4. Payments and refunds
Payments for certificates and lesson unlocks are processed by Paystack, our payment provider. We store records of your transactions — reference, amount, item and status — but never your card details.
All transactions are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN). If you pay with a card issued outside Nigeria, your bank converts the amount into your card's currency; the amount we charge is always the naira amount shown at checkout.
A purchase is complete once the item is delivered: a certificate is issued, or a lesson is unlocked. Purchases are final at that point, subject to any statutory refund rights and any refunds Paystack itself allows us to make.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform; scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with its operation; cheat on exams or help others cheat; bypass paid content, payment, or sequencing controls; submit false information; or use Atlas for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Content and intellectual property
Atlas curates content from openly licensed curricula (credited in each lesson) alongside original material. The Atlas platform, branding and original content are owned by or licensed to Atlas and Innovative Technologies Ltd. You may use the platform for personal learning, but not resell or redistribute its content without permission.
7. Certificates and results
Certificates are issued at course, path or field level. A course certificate may follow a passing exam; path and field certificates recognise completed sequences of courses and are earned as described on their pages. Each certificate records your score where relevant and carries a verification hash anyone can check.
Certificates reflect performance and completion at the time they are issued. We reserve the right to void a certificate if we determine it was obtained through cheating, bypassing payment, or an integrity violation. Verification records are public so employers and others can confirm authenticity.
8. Modification and availability
We are always improving Atlas. Courses, lessons and features may change or be removed, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be indicated on this page. Your continued use after changes means you accept them.
9. Disclaimers
Atlas is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantee that a course, exam or certificate leads to employment, accreditation, or any particular outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas and Innovative Technologies Ltd are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
